Sangre Azteca Folkloric Dance

Sangre Azteca is a dance program focused on preserving the traditions of our ancestors through the traditional Hispanic danza folklórica. We aim to provide a safe space for self-expression and teach our participants and the community about the beauty of Hispanic culture and traditions.

Participate

Our dancers range in age from 3  years old through 18+.  The program is available to everyone in the community, and it costs $10 a month per student to participate. If there is more than one student, it is and extra $5 per additional student. There is a sliding scale for payment if families need it. Costumes are provided, but families are expected to create and provide headpieces.

Performances

Sangre Azteca performs  traditional, mestizo, and Indigenous dances from 10 different states of Mexico.  We offer performances locally and in surrounding cities and states. Our dancers have performed at Seward, Columbus, Omaha, Crete, Wayne, Grand Island; Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas in venues such as schools, universities, churches, rest homes, State Fair, Cinco de Mayo, festivals, weddings, and multi-cultural events. There is a charge to book a performance.

If you are interested in a performance, email our director for more information.
