About Us
Mission
Founded in April 2002, Proyecto Cultural is dedicated to the preservation of Hispanic communities and culture. We work to build community connections and increase cultural awareness by offering cultural, sporting, and art activities.

Vision

We envision happy, healthy, and resilient communities that are able to practice their cultures and have fun in healthy environments.

History

Proyecto Cultural started April 2002 because Juan and Dana Rodriguez wanted to provide their daughter and their community with an opportunity to connect with their culture and to participate in the traditional Folklórico dancing of Mexico. The organization began with seven members, and since then, over 200 dancers have trained with Grupo Folklórico Sangre Azteca.

In 2009, Robert Lybarger donated a building to Proyecto Cultural that has become the center of our activities, where our dancers practice for their performances and our community members gather to build connections, make art, enjoy music, and participate in events.
